Thursday night is also Melbas famous Corona Club, for the boys and the girls ……. Corona Club kicks off at 6pm in the Melbas Downstairs Bar and also runs in the Melbas Ultra Lounge & Club from 9pm until late.

Urban music may have never found it’s way into Gold Coast Nightclubs without the influence of Stevie Z.
Bold as it may seem, Stevie’s experience as a local tastemaker is well documented, beginning with The Pure Playaz & Notorious, the Gold Coast’s first hip hop radio shows. Within months of their debut, Stevie’s listenership swelled to over 20,000 punters, It wasn’t long before Stevie’s popularity spilled over to the clubs, with every venue wanting an authentic taste of Hip Hip & RnB. Finding a residency at the Drink Nightclub, Stevie quickly established his own club night – Notorious – the Gold Coast’s first dedicated R&B club night.

Karl Watson aka DJ Masta K is a “Vetern” DJ when it comes to mixing RnB & HipHop and Dance music. He currently holds 4 weekly resident DJ spots at various clubs around Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
Karl has a well-established DJ career in the NZ RnB/HipHop music scene starting his DJ career hosting Mix-Shows on the ZM Network (NZ Nationwide), working as an Entertainment Manager for the “Coyote Bar” Franchise and hosting a TV music show.
Over the years Karl has run DJ events including the “ITF” (International Turntabilist Federation) DJ Competitions which has seen him support International DJ’s like A-Track (World DMC DJ Champ/Producer), DJ P-Trix (US DMC Champ), DJ Lil Jazz (Canadian DMC Champ), DJ Rectangle (HipHop Mixtape King), DJ Total Eclipse (DMC Champ/X-Ecutioners) and work alongside many NZ/Australian DJ’s / Bands including DJ P-Money (World#3 DJ Champ), DJ CXL (NZ DMC Champ), DJ Sirvere (Major Flavours), DJ Manchoo (NZ DMC Champ), MC Tom Thumb (World Beatbox Champ), Tommy Trash (Aria DJ/Artist), Nesian Mystik, Che-Fu, DJ Bluffsta (Mixtape King), Scribe, DJ Dezaster (Mixtape King), Deceptikonz (Dawnraid), Savage (Dawn Raid) & Rave Radio just to name a few!

Mister P hails from Wellington, NZ and was first exposed to DJing when his older brother brought a set of turntables at the young age of 18. He would jam on them whenever he could. It didn’t take him long til he got hooked on spinning records.
P made the move to Auckland & worked in local radio for over 6 years . He started DJing at various events & private functions. It was from there he made the transition into the mix battle & club scene. 2009 saw P up his game even more by making the switch to Video DJing, thanks to the introduction of Serato Video. This technology sees Mister P take you on a visual journey live with his club sets.
