MELBAS FAMOUS CORONA CLUB – THE BIGGEST THURSDAY NIGHT PARTY ON THE GOLD COAST
Come and join the biggest and best Thursday night party on the Gold Coast …. Melbas famous Corona Club (…. the original and still the best ….. beware of lame imitations!).
Corona Club kicks off every Thursday night from 6pm and runs until 12am in the Downstairs Bar and from 9pm until late in Melbas Ultra Lounge & Club.
The night is always pumping with great music, great fun, heaps of surprises and a regular program of promotions – our mechanical bull riding is always a big hit!
In addition to Corona Club, Thursday nights is also our Cocktails & Cupcakes ladies night in Melbas Ultra Lounge & Club. Be pampered by our Hot Bodies Australia hosts, a Hot Bodies Australia male entertainer performs each week and there are free cupcakes and plenty of nice surprises for the ladies.
Melbas team of resident DJ’s keep the party rolling on both levels until late into the night.

Karl Watson aka DJ Masta K is a “Vetern” DJ when it comes to mixing RnB & HipHop and Dance music. He currently holds 4 weekly resident DJ spots at various clubs around Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
Karl has a well-established DJ career in the NZ RnB/HipHop music scene starting his DJ career hosting Mix-Shows on the ZM Network (NZ Nationwide), working as an Entertainment Manager for the “Coyote Bar” Franchise and hosting a TV music show.
Over the years Karl has run DJ events including the “ITF” (International Turntabilist Federation) DJ Competitions which has seen him support International DJ’s like A-Track (World DMC DJ Champ/Producer), DJ P-Trix (US DMC Champ), DJ Lil Jazz (Canadian DMC Champ), DJ Rectangle (HipHop Mixtape King), DJ Total Eclipse (DMC Champ/X-Ecutioners) and work alongside many NZ/Australian DJ’s / Bands including DJ P-Money (World#3 DJ Champ), DJ CXL (NZ DMC Champ), DJ Sirvere (Major Flavours), DJ Manchoo (NZ DMC Champ), MC Tom Thumb (World Beatbox Champ), Tommy Trash (Aria DJ/Artist), Nesian Mystik, Che-Fu, DJ Bluffsta (Mixtape King), Scribe, DJ Dezaster (Mixtape King), Deceptikonz (Dawnraid), Savage (Dawn Raid) & Rave Radio just to name a few!

Mick Ellen
Mick Ellen is best described in one simple phrase “100% Party Animal” so it’s little surprise he is a long standing resident DJ at Melbas On The Park, the Gold Coast’s most iconic party venue.
Mick Ellen didn’t earn the reputation as the Gold Coast’s number 1 party DJ over night his skills were forged old school style with plenty of hard yards and hours on the decks under his belt.
From an early age (some would say underage) he began honing his DJ skills at local bars & clubs in his hometown of Orange. If there was even a sniff of a party happening rest assured Mick was at its core. It didn’t take Mick long to out grow his home town so with CD cases packed & his headphones over his shoulder, Mick set out on the party trail in search for the perfect party venue.
After lighting up Pubs & Clubs along the east coast of Australia Mick landed on the Gold Coast in 2002. Since then he has been resident DJ at nearly all of the Gold Coast major venues. In this time Mick Ellen has carved out a niche as the “Mr Goodtimes”.
Mick’s wide repertoire of music and instinctual ability to read a room set him apart as a true master at weaving threads of tunes into fantastic tapestries of fun.
As Mick lives his dream to be Australia’s foremost party DJ it is little wonder he now calls Melbas - the Gold Coast number 1 party venue - home.
