Melbas is uniquely versatile as a Functions and Events venue, thanks to the four distinct areas of the venue available for use, and our ability to accommodate groups of any size up to 800 people.
Able to seat up to 70 guests in a formal dining area and in booths overlooking the park, the Melbas restaurant can host functions for a variety of occasions. Options of a la carte, set menus and platters are available as well as premium beverage packages.
With a capacity of up to 850, there is endless potential for hosting Functions and Events in the Main Bar. The expansive central island bar is surrounded by various seating options including booths, high tables and bar seats. Pool tables are located at the southern end of the bar, along with the DJ and dancefloor and big screen for watching live sport.
For those events where exclusivity is key, the Melbas VIP bar offers a private space where guests can be indulged in superior service with a personal waitress. With a capacity of 60, the VIP bar is fully stocked with premium beverages and platters are able to be served from the kitchen. Situated on level 2 of Melbas, the VIP bar also has an outdoor smoking balcony that looks over central Cavill Avenue and the Park.
The Function Room is located on the Beach Road side of Melbas, with a separate entrance via a porte-cochère. This private room has a full bar that runs the length of the room, and can host events for 50 – 200 guests. Room hire is free, and this versatile room is perfect for cocktail style events, can accommodate bands and entertainment and is capable of seating up to 150 people for banquet style sit down events.
